What’s up my mini socialites, I’m back again with another blog post and this one is worth me staying up till 5am to write. As I lay in bed scrolling through my Facebook feed (as you do), I spot a video uploaded by Louis Vuitton. It’s their 2017 Fall/Winter collection presented by Kim Jones. Now, you’re probably wondering…Michael, why have you only just seen this now? Well to answer that, I have spent the entire day filming my Bedroom Tour (up on Monday, stay tuned) so I haven’t really checked any of my social media accounts till now. Also, can I just mention how hard it is to film a bedroom tour, I mean, jeez. Talk about a busy schedule am I right? Now back to the main point of this post.
With several designers collaborating with each other (Kenzo x H&M, Gucci x GucciGhost, Alexander Wang x Adidas Originals and Guess Originals x A$AP Rocky to name a few), It was evident that this trend would continue even during the new year. Only two weeks into 2017, Louis Vuitton have managed to turn the fashion world and fashion enthusiasts into complete turmoil collaborating with skateboarding brand – Supreme, as Lee-May clearly stated during a private group convo “it’s red” and that ladies and gentlemen sums up the entire collection to a brink.
Rumours of a possible collaboration were hitting the internet for several months, but after the debacle between both brands back in the year 2000 (long story short, Louis Vuitton sent a cease and desist letter to Supreme for their LV inspired logo t-shirts and skate decks), it seemed this sort of thing was nothing more than a rumour…boy were a lot of us wrong. I am glad both brands got past that eventful moment 17 years later because my body cells are bouncing with excitement. While I go grab my checklist and add – purchase the Red Epi Leather LV & Supreme Keepall – to the very top, enjoy these delightful images below.
